Sweater love

There's nothing quite like the comfort of a sweater, oh wait, make it into a dress! I love this super comfy sweater dress I found at the Toggery. It is perfect for lounging around on a lazy Saturday. I paired this with an army green cargo vest because I like the all over neutral look and thought it'd add a nice extra layer. Hope everyone is enjoying their saturday!

Oscars 2015 Best Dressed

Last night was beautiful affair filled with laughter, tears, inspiration, and incredible style! I loved so many looks last night, it was difficult to choose just a few! I loved seeing the pale color trend, it was evident that pastels were the winning fashion choice. Granted, my list has more color variety, but I still love the pastel trend right now! I picked these lovely ladies because they emanated fashion and class and for that I am in awe! I didn't want to do a worst dressed, because everyone looked stunning last night and after all, fashion is personal, so even if I didn't personally love someone's look it was still fabulous!

What did you think about last nights fashion?

Cate Blanchett: Stunning and effortless! This beautiful form fitting John Galliano gown is topped off perfectly with a  beautiful Tiffany and Co. statement necklace in a fierce turquoise! She wasn't even nominated, but I'm sure she'll take comfort in making my best dressed list! hah

Anna Kendrick: So beautiful in this Thakoon dress! I love this color, the shape and the subtle accessory built in to the dress! All of this dress paired with a simple swept back hair is just Oscar perfection!

Emma Stone: As if she could go wrong! She has been on fire this award season. This gold Elie Saaub stunner is stylish, modest, and pairs perfectly with her ruby locks!

Lupita Nyong'o: This Calvin Klein dress has 6,000 pearls on it! That's incredible! I love that she took a subtle risk this year. This dress without the pearl feature would still be pretty, but kind of boring. I love how many of the women last night wore their accessories as part of their dress not in addition to!

Rosamund Pike: This fierce red Givenchy dress is absolutely gorgeous! She looks amazing and yet again an understated look with hair, make-up, and accessories really worked for the red carpet! PS she had a baby in December!! She looks amazing!

Beanies, specs, and foodie love

Kind of late to keep you all posted on my weekend festivities, but oh well! Aaron and I decided to stay in this past weekend as we really did it up at Sullivan's last weekend. We opted for some snuggling and a fancy cheese plate paired with some wine. Aaron's brother and fiance got us this cool slate cutting board that doubles as a natural chalkboard with quartz "chalk". I thought it'd be perfect to display our Fresh Market findings! Paired with (admittedly cheap) wine, it was the perfect end to a great weekend. My outfit was super casual and easy to wear while roaming the market! I love this comfy striped dress from Old Navy and anything paired with my beanie is going to be cozy, plus I really fit in roaming Broad Ripple. #hipster

Spring in my step

I'm a sucker for Spring in Indiana. I know we are very far away from it, but I didn't want all my cute spring attire to go to the wayside. This floral dress is such a cute pattern, it reminds me of watercolor flower paintings. I love layering and a lot of elements to winter wear, but I truly love spring fashion. That's why it's important to me to find ways to incorporate these pieces into all four seasons. I paired this dress with my tried and true collared blouse, a gorgeous mint coat from Old Navy and of course, tights and booties and there you have it, a spring outfit "winterized"!

Casting call: Mad Men

The best things in life may be free, but the second best things in life are on sale! This lovely mod color blocked dress was on super clearance at Old Navy. It was on clearance for $19, but since it was an online exclusive I got it for half off of that!! Yay! I decided to pair it with all mod accessories from the floral necklace to booties. Consider me the next head liner in the final season of Mad Men, oh Don I'm coming for ya!

Work Wear Wednesdays

At our last blogger event one of the girls mentioned how she's lucky that she can wear whatever she wants to work. She's definitely lucky and that was something I had for a while, but there's something to be said for the fashion of work wear. It's a bit harder to keep a stylish tone, but I wanted to start Work Wear Wednesdays to bring light to the fun stylish ways to dress for work.

Keep a look out next Wednesday for another post in this series, and feel free to comment any of your work wear tips!

Double Take

Remember this fur vest? If not, scroll down by one post! I wanted to show the diversity of this vest by putting together a totally different look with it. I love pairing funky items in a comfortable way. This vest works wonderfully with these boyfriend jeans. I still wanted to have the look be fancy, so these pointed toe Kate Spade heels do the trick! This simple look is just perfect for a night with the gals sipping some wine.

How do you mix up the same item?
