Popping collars

Ps. It's finally warm out! I love this sunny weather and the warm rays on my skin. I pulled out this favorite Spring dress! Chambray, denim, tensel whatever you want to call it, it's definitely on trend. That being said, this chambray dress was a must purchase, since it was from Forever 21 I obviously didn't break the bank either. I decided to go for a vintage look with the popped collar and a nice patterned scarf to make this look slightly fancy. What are you all going to do to soak up the sun this weekend?

Cowgirl up

I love pairing this simple small scarf with Spring outfits. The scarf looks like those old westerns. I found these super cute aviators at Old Navy, for 40% off! Gotta love a good deal, right? One might think I ransacked the place, "This is a stick-up!" This look was perfect for a day of running errands and enjoying this beautiful Spring day!

Walk of shame...

I'm sure the title intrigued you...I love this uber comfy shirt/dress from Gap. It reminds me of a baggy tee-shirt one might steal to sulk home on the ever classy walk of shame. In reality, it's really just a fun baggy shirt dress, but hey nothing wrong with a funny story to go along. It's hard to pair super casual items like this and still have a stylish look, so I thought this nice lightweight scarf would pair well and not take too much attention from the main element. There's truly no better shoe to go with a super cozy outfit like this than a classic chuck taylor! All in all, I love this easy breezy look and I'm thankful I'm wearing it with full intention instead of my previous scenario...

Work Wear Wednesday: Belted Scarf

I love this long sleeve dress, it's so comfy and very professional! The strip of leather takes the dress from boring to chic, but from there it still needs something to make it a full look! I'm obsessed with the new trend of belting a scarf! It's a great way to include a scarf, but not have it all sorts of bunched up by your neck. This is especially nice with these rising temps, hello 50's! Overall this work look is comfy, easy to work in, and still on trend. What do you think?!

Beanies, specs, and foodie love

Kind of late to keep you all posted on my weekend festivities, but oh well! Aaron and I decided to stay in this past weekend as we really did it up at Sullivan's last weekend. We opted for some snuggling and a fancy cheese plate paired with some wine. Aaron's brother and fiance got us this cool slate cutting board that doubles as a natural chalkboard with quartz "chalk". I thought it'd be perfect to display our Fresh Market findings! Paired with (admittedly cheap) wine, it was the perfect end to a great weekend. My outfit was super casual and easy to wear while roaming the market! I love this comfy striped dress from Old Navy and anything paired with my beanie is going to be cozy, plus I really fit in roaming Broad Ripple. #hipster

Stripes and fur and florals Oh My!

I went to the Toggery to pick up my $$ from selling a few items and alas I ended up spending more than I made. I found this exceptional fur vest, yes another one! This black beauty (pun?) was only $8!!! That my friends is the advantage to shopping resale! Paired with my $12 pair of Loft dress pants, I think I made out like a bandit. I wanted to pair the fur with lots of fun textures and prints, hence the floral and stripes. I like the simplicity of this look and that it still packs a punch in the style department!

All layered up

I love this layered look because it's perfect for this mildly chilly weather and I have the opportunity to wear a bunch of my favs at once! I stayed warm and cozy in this turtleneck sweater from C Wonder, simple black vest from Target, and classic neutral scarf from Madewell. To add a bit of fun I threw on some ankle cowboy booties and I'm all set!
