FriYAY!

I know you've seen this dress a few times now, but I just love it especially on a super hot day like today! I got to add a little flare to it with my new necklace from Le Tote. I finally put a little time into my look today with makeup and hair done. This seems to be a rare occurrence this days. I'm off to enjoy the day even with rain in the forecast my outlook is sunny!

Le Maxi Love

My super cute tribal maxi is another gem from LeTote. I love the tulip flare in the front and the V-neck detailing on top. This dress is the perfect pick for Spring and Summer because it's a lighter texture easy to pair with a lot of fun accessories and it's modest enough for all kinds of occasions!

Living in Indulgence

Saturday was one of those totally indulgent (regret later) kind of days. I spent the day with my favorite and we had a delicious brunch at Delicia, they're basically our new Zest. I had the smoked salmon fritatta and ate it so quickly that I forget to snap a pic! Later we played pool at Bent Rail Brewery and to keep adding to the indulgence we went to Naked Tchopstix for our favorite appetizer and dinner at the Alley Cat Front Room. Phew, I'm exhausted and full just recapping that! Anyhow, my look for all these shenanigans was as follows.

Ombre draping

Happy Monday! Welcome to the perfect Monday look. It's drapy to allow for the possible weight gain from all the weekend foodie indulgences. Layering for the chilly winds. Messy french twist since I didn't wash my hair, because it is Monday after all! Yes, see being sloppy and unmotivated can still somehow translate into style. It's really what I strive for.

How do you make lazy look chic?

Is summer over?

The answer is no...but with this 70 degree weather it sure feels like it. Don't get me wrong, I love 70 degree weather, but after the winter we had I want a long hot summer! As I write this post, the news is informing me that heat and humidity will return next week. Phew! With the cooling temps my outfit is not lacking in fabric. I love this watercolor shawl sweater because it's light and pretty. I paired it with the pink tank so there was just a little summery colors going on. Can't have a comfy laid back look without slip on sneaks.

Little Dancer

With my ruffled top under a gold shimmery peplum tee I felt inspired by Degas! This pose is one of many he emphasized in his work. Granted, this pose was totally by accident, but I feel like it works! I love this little ruffled tank as a layering piece. it's a nice simple piece that adds, quite literally, some flare. Have a great day and enjoy this beeaauutiful weather!

70's inspired!

I first became obsessed with this jumpsuit when Mia visited. I ended up hunting it down! This was a more difficult process than I first anticipated. Every now and then something comes along that's worth the extra effort! I ended up having to special order it through customer service at Nordstrom! This is one allusive jumpsuit, but so worth it. Considering the jumpsuit was a 70's staple paired with these adorable (on sale) clogs and gold accessories it's one 70's inspired look!

Long hair don't care...

I love my new ombre look (thanks Linds!) and now a new development is that my blonde extensions look great with it! I love long hair and as I am trying to achieve that natural thing, extensions are necessary as of now.

It's another hot, hot, hot day in Indiana! I love this free people top, because it is super flowy and fun, which is a bonus in this stifling heat! I paired it with some light jeans so there was some defined shaping counteracting the poof of the shirt.

My mom and I are going to see Jersey Boys! I am so excited! Jersey Boys is my favorite musical I've ever seen, so I am excited to see if it can be improved upon in film (probably not), but it'll definitely be entertaining!
