A New Do

Well...as you can probably see, I chopped off my hair. I was so ready for a change and didn't even wince with that first snip! Sometimes a fresh new do is all you need to refresh your mood. I love the short bob that the ever wonderful Jess gave me! I'm excited to play with it and find new ways to style it, don't worry the half top-knot will appear soon. I couldn't have a hairstyle without the possibility of a top knot. Today's look is one of my favs. This floral dress is super cute and easy to wear for multiple events. The back has a keyhole pattern that's open, but for work I opted to pair the dress with this sleeveless collared blouse to add some style and coverage.

FriYAY!

I know you've seen this dress a few times now, but I just love it especially on a super hot day like today! I got to add a little flare to it with my new necklace from Le Tote. I finally put a little time into my look today with makeup and hair done. This seems to be a rare occurrence this days. I'm off to enjoy the day even with rain in the forecast my outlook is sunny!

Le Maxi Love

My super cute tribal maxi is another gem from LeTote. I love the tulip flare in the front and the V-neck detailing on top. This dress is the perfect pick for Spring and Summer because it's a lighter texture easy to pair with a lot of fun accessories and it's modest enough for all kinds of occasions!

Pattern and lace

It's no secret that I have been slacking on my blog! I will try my best to be posting every day. I hope you all have been liking it so far and I want to start doing some fun series. Suggestions welcome!

Today I was at a loss as to what to wear. It was a high of 92 today, but I had to cover the bruises from tubing this weekend. I opted for this lace overlay top because the sleeves are very flowy and allowed me to stay cool! I love this patterned skirt! This was an Old Navy purchase circa 2006! Oldie but a goodie I suppose! Hope you have a fantastic week and thanks for following!

Pretty in Pink

It's an epically beautiful day here in Indy, so I figured florals and a bright pink skirt was a must. This outfit is just more proof that my style is all over the place. I am all about wearing what makes you feel beautiful and comfortable in your own skin. I don't really subscribe to any kind of style, which leads to a girly look one day, hipster the next, and rounding out with street style. I find pieces that I love and make them work with what I have. Style is really just living, breathing art. Ah, thus end my blabbering. Have a great weekend!

Free as a bird..

By the grace of the work gods I was able to get the entire day off today! It worked out perfectly, because now I can join Aaron, Michael, and Krista at the Indiana MicroBrewers Festival! I'm so excited for some good beer, great friends, and fried food. Does it get any better than that? I love this Free People dress. It's so flowy and beautiful, the fabric is above and beyond all of my other dresses. Every now and then I can see the point of buying a nicer, more expensive brand and this is one. Free People has always lived up to the price with exceptional quality and trend setting styles. The neck on this dress is a low cut v-neck, so for coverage I add the scarf...and for an accessory. Well, I'm off to a fun filled day! Have a great one.

90 degrees won't stop me!

Every year I am surprised how in just a few short months we can go from below freezing temps to 90 degree weather! If you've ever heard anything about Indy, it's probably along the lines of corn, racing, the colts, and the seasons. I do love having all four seasons and they are all beautiful in their own way, but it can take a toll on your wardrobe! I try, but there is only so much cuteness you can pack in an outfit during 90 degree weather. If I didn't have a love of queso I would just walk around in a bikini all summer, but alas queso (amoung other things) has my heart. Stay cool out there!

Chambray Chic...

I wanted to do a simple look for this beautiful spring day. Aaron and I went shopping for dress pants...not fun! I didn't know there was a kind of shopping I wouldn't like, but in fact menswear shopping is extremely boring.

I love this chambray dress I got on sale at Forever 21! I love mixing different neutrals for a 70's inspired look. What's your favorite decade of fashion?
