TBT: What I Wore

In honor of this not so lovely Thursday, let's hop in the time machine and gun it to 2014. June 18th to be specific. It's funny to be able to look back and see exactly what I wore on certain days. This jumpsuit has made many encore appearances since this post and will undoubtedly make more. You've got to love a nice casual jumpsuit on a hot summer day. Plus, I'm feeling this hair color, maybe this trip down memory lane will spark some changes in the present.

What's a favorite past look of yours?

Jump around

I had a wonderful weekend filled with friends and relaxation. This Indiana weather is really perfect for my super cute jumpsuit! I love how comfy and loose fitting it is. I love jumpsuits and rompers, they are a fantastic decade trend. The beauty of a trendy item is that you can find them all over in as many different styles as you can imagine. I found a couple cute options for you all, check it out in the post!

What's your favorite spring trend?

Vintage Love!

I get sent over to the boutique building at work and this is what happens. I bought this amazing jumpsuit at Adorn Boutique in Broad Ripple. It's so unique and beautiful and for only $22 you really can't ask for much more.

I love vintage clothes for so many reasons; the trendiness, variety, price, and most of all the knowledge that someone lived their lives in these clothes. I imagine a petite (hence the length of the pants) woman finding this jumpsuit and buying it for a fancy affair. She wore pointy toed kitten heels and a lovely coat with giant shoulder pads.

Do you ever imagine what life was led in your vintage pieces?

Have a great day, you never know what it will mean.

70's inspired!

I first became obsessed with this jumpsuit when Mia visited. I ended up hunting it down! This was a more difficult process than I first anticipated. Every now and then something comes along that's worth the extra effort! I ended up having to special order it through customer service at Nordstrom! This is one allusive jumpsuit, but so worth it. Considering the jumpsuit was a 70's staple paired with these adorable (on sale) clogs and gold accessories it's one 70's inspired look!

90 degrees won't stop me!

Every year I am surprised how in just a few short months we can go from below freezing temps to 90 degree weather! If you've ever heard anything about Indy, it's probably along the lines of corn, racing, the colts, and the seasons. I do love having all four seasons and they are all beautiful in their own way, but it can take a toll on your wardrobe! I try, but there is only so much cuteness you can pack in an outfit during 90 degree weather. If I didn't have a love of queso I would just walk around in a bikini all summer, but alas queso (amoung other things) has my heart. Stay cool out there!

Farmventure Weekend

This weekend was an absolute blast! Friday night, Claire and I got sushi at Naked Tchopstix! They have my favorite sushi roll, the corona roll! It is heaven and euphoria rolled up in deliciousness topped with delight. All right so I love sushi, if you hadn’t already noticed! Sometimes all you really need is a girl’s night with good food and wine to make your day.

Saturday was the Farm day! My family owns a farm in Rushville and it has been in our family for 100 years. It’s been a place of joy for me since I was little. My dad and I would go out there all the time and between the paddleboat, golf cart, endless woods, a spooky house, and adventure I was never able to stay awake for the drive home!

Since I have gotten older it has become a great place for my friends and I to gather and partake in a good ol’ fashion bonfire, some drinking, and shooting the shit. It is a place where we can all be ourselves and enjoy a great time together in the beauty of Hoosier country.

Sunday, Aaron and I somehow rode our struggle bus right on over to Zest, for brunch. The outfit I wore for Zest was this adorable jumpsuit from Forever 21 paired with ankle cowboy booties. It was super simple and I dressed it up slightly with a cute braided side bun. I love this jumpsuit and it’s so comfy!! Again, Aaron commented on them looking like pajamas, but I still love jumpsuits!

Had some awesome pizza! Perfect spring night for some za!

Who doesn't love a bonfire?

Gotta love the Twist lounge at Zest! Aaron and I always prefer the bar at restaurants and this one takes the cake on ambiance.
