A New Do

Well...as you can probably see, I chopped off my hair. I was so ready for a change and didn't even wince with that first snip! Sometimes a fresh new do is all you need to refresh your mood. I love the short bob that the ever wonderful Jess gave me! I'm excited to play with it and find new ways to style it, don't worry the half top-knot will appear soon. I couldn't have a hairstyle without the possibility of a top knot. Today's look is one of my favs. This floral dress is super cute and easy to wear for multiple events. The back has a keyhole pattern that's open, but for work I opted to pair the dress with this sleeveless collared blouse to add some style and coverage.

Spring Color Explosion

In honor of the blooming flowers and warm weather I opted for my work wear look to be filled with color! I wanted to wear these amazing BCBG shoes and basically paired everything else around it. I loved the idea of teal and hot pink, I feel like a superman ice cream cone. It's easier to rock some bold prints and colors with an overall neutral to tie it all together, so I opted for the black and cream base. Keep checking out the blog for updates on this week of wedding fun!!

Rainbows make the best Friday's

Happy Friday to all! I get all giddy in the morning with the prospect of Casual Friday. I finally get to wear my cozy jeans and feel a bit more relaxed for the day. Today was extra special because I got to see this beautiful rainbow. I hadn't seen one in so long that it really struck me how beautiful they are. I was surprisingly able to capture a picture of this beauty.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day filled with beauty and color!

Relaxed and casual

As May keeps cruising along this weather just keeps getting better! Some may prefer cold, but not I. These warm rays of sun are bringing life to my closet! My favorite clothes are my Spring and Summer ensembles. Tanks, dresses, sandals...oh my! This look was the perfect way to spend the day relaxing and drinking Coors Lights. There really is something special about those first few weekends of beautiful weather, when we all come out of our caves and celebrate the day!

In need of heat

I am currently in the need of heat. That Indiana Spring that I'm always spouting off about is letting me down. These brisk temps and ridiculous wind is not making my heart happy. On a different note, I also need heat from an iron! Look at my skirt, yikes. Oh well, nothing fits anymore and I have to attempt to be professional at work, so what can a girl do. I love this combo and if the skirt didn't look like it came straight out of the bottom of my hamper, I'd be happier with it. Orange and Navy is one of those perfect color combos, some artsy person could explain this in depth, but I just love the way they look together!

Enjoy your Thursday!

Woah..my eyes!

I'm obsessing over this neon bag I got from my recent LeTote! The pictures do not do it justice on how bright it is, in the words of my friend hannah, "whoa, it hurts my eyes" haha. Sometimes fashion is pain, right? I will probably hold this item back and pretend like my account won't be charged, healthy?

Me: "Hi, my name is Abby and I'm a shopahaulic"

Everyone: "Hi, Abby."

A breath of fresh air...

It's a b-e-a-u-tiful day her in Indiana. The sun first warms your skin and a cool breeze fills your hair with refreshing smells of grass and blooming flowers. I've said it before, I'll say it again...Spring in Indiana is absolutely breathtaking. Aaron and I spent the day running errands and playing with Penny outside. I opted for a super comfortable new trend for spring....the Shirtdress! I found this beauty at The Toggery for $8, yes you read right, EIGHT dollars! This Michael Kors' "trash", to someone, became my absolute treasure! I sold some of my "trash" recently and made a pretty penny. When I go to the Toggery or any resale boutique, I search through these wonderful items and wonder who gave them away? Why? Do they miss them? It's so great to know that clothes I no longer love have new life, just like the buds of Spring, they bloom again!
