Spring Color Explosion

In honor of the blooming flowers and warm weather I opted for my work wear look to be filled with color! I wanted to wear these amazing BCBG shoes and basically paired everything else around it. I loved the idea of teal and hot pink, I feel like a superman ice cream cone. It's easier to rock some bold prints and colors with an overall neutral to tie it all together, so I opted for the black and cream base. Keep checking out the blog for updates on this week of wedding fun!!

Rocking the rockstud

I love my job, but working in non-profit isn't well known for bringing in major dough. This is all fine with me until I laid eyes on those Valentino rockstud pumps that rocked (pun intended) the blogging and fashion world last year. These puppies were around $1,000!!! Yeeeaahhh...too rich for my blood. You can only imagine my delight at finding these BCBGeneration knock offs for a meer $80! I'm absolutely in love and now I can rock the studs with the best of them!

Culottes? I think yes!

Lilac, lavender, light ass purple...whatever you want to call it, this is my new favorite color for Spring. I found this beautiful top at Von Maur on sale and I was instantly sold! I also found these amazing culottes for just $19!! The two pieces together pair perfectly and make for a great look for a night out on the town. I had to throw on a statement piece, since the two items are pretty neutral and with that 'top off' the outfit was set. This pastel trend is making my heart melt and my spirits rise up to the trend-casion. Stay posted, because a pastel pink will eventually make it to the blog too!

p.s. remember that amazing clutch I got in a recent Le Tote?? My amazing bf noticed my extreme sadness to send it back and ended up finding it and giving it to me for my birthday!

Pinspired: Blanket scarf

Today's pinspiration is from Because Shanna Said So. I loved this super chic, super simple look. It perfectly straddles the line of professional and casual. I wish I had this periwinkle blazer, but I opted for black, since it went well with my blanket scarf. The combo was also perfect for the weather, since it's not too cold, but the scarf was a necessary addition for a little chill in the air. I love this pinspired look, because it can be switched around and be used as inspiration for many different looks!

Happy Sunday

Happy happy Sunday! I don't know why I love Sunday's so much, but it is just the most perfect day for relaxing. I think it might be due to the amount of Sundays I worked prior to this year, so I relish in these wonderful weekends off. Plus, Sunday is the obvious brunch day and who doesn't love brunch? If you don't love brunch, I'm not sure we can be friends. haha. Sometimes, Aaron and I opt for some homemade brunch, with grapefruit mimosas and my famous biscuits and gravy! (the trick is to use maple flavored sausage). Other weeks we opt to spend way too much money on the delicious drinks at Zest! we are regulars, which sounds so adult of us. And on ocassion, we just relax all day and watch Netflix in a perpetual cuddle, as to prepare our brains for the week ahead. Thus ends my love letter to Sunday.

How do you spend your SundayFunday?

Watercolor and leather

Well folks, I got another tote, so naturally I had to wear almost all the pieces in one outfit and post about it. I was underwhelmed by a few of the items, but it was all made right when I saw this amazing clutch/bag/ipad case. Whatever it is it's beautiful. I thought it best to pair it with this super comfy top and simple necklace to highlight the beautiful colors in this clutch. Granted, this top is not ideal for the "girls" if you know what I mean, but it's super cozy and the leather sleeves really add a nice detail. You know me, I'll prob. throw on a scarf and it'll be all better. Thanks for bearing with my random rants, my brain is a bit scattered.

Ruffle my feathers!

Any Indiana or really, considering this year, any blogger will attest that taking pictures of cute outfits in the falling temperatures is not super easy. I try to figure out what angles work best, so I can only spend a minute or two outside! Granted, this adorable sweater didn't deserve to be covered up by a coat! I got this, again, yes again at The Toggery!

I love the detail of the ruffles and the fun sleeves. This was only $12 and it's BCBG! I hope to eventually make an installment of thrift inspiration! It's possible to find a super cute look on a budget. I am becoming a fast expert on this fact!

How do you save AND shop!?
