Get the look!

Kate Bosworth is perfection in this simple chic look. I love that she is mixing a lot of elements from clog style booties all the way up to her aviators. This monochromatic beauty is an excellent look to emulate. I've gathered some fierce versions of these items that can help you "get the look" from splurge to mega steal! Check it out, and maybe soon I'll give this look a shot too!

Watercolor and leather

Well folks, I got another tote, so naturally I had to wear almost all the pieces in one outfit and post about it. I was underwhelmed by a few of the items, but it was all made right when I saw this amazing clutch/bag/ipad case. Whatever it is it's beautiful. I thought it best to pair it with this super comfy top and simple necklace to highlight the beautiful colors in this clutch. Granted, this top is not ideal for the "girls" if you know what I mean, but it's super cozy and the leather sleeves really add a nice detail. You know me, I'll prob. throw on a scarf and it'll be all better. Thanks for bearing with my random rants, my brain is a bit scattered.

Holiday Series Recap

With all of the holidays seemingly far behind us, I figured it would be nice to compile all of the looks from my Holiday Look Series for you all! I had such fantastic holiday season and I hope you did too. This year was filled with love, family, friends, drinks, and of course delicious food! All of these looks (minus the reindeer dress) can be worn throughout the year, but I tried to tie in reds, greens, and golds (oo and leather for NYE!) to fit within the holiday theme.

Hope everyone's 2015 is off to a great start!

The safe word is..

I gotta say, I just love leather. I used to only equate it to stripper style, but it has evolved into one of the most applicable textures in high fashion. It can be extremely subtle when used as an element in a piece or it can be like this amazing dress from..you guessed it..Le Tote! This all-over leather dress is super chic and with the a-line skirt it can be worn for many occassions without seeming too...50 shades.
Since I apparently felt the need to add more leather, I threw on a teal leather moto jacket, because why not? This look is perfect for a new years look, where sparkles, bodycon, and leather are abundant!

Ready, Set, Holiday!

Since the holidays are upon us I have decided to post a holiday party look each week. The great thing about a holiday party is it's typically the one time your co-workers get to see you all dolled up, add some spiked egg-nog and you are golden. Here is one look for a holiday party. I paired an LBD with leather paneling along with a gold flake cropped cardigan. When dressing for a party it's always great to have a focused piece, with this outfit it is the gold jacket. The great thing about gold and silver is that it screams holiday without being cheezy!

I love black and gold, really you can't go wrong with neutrals, but I think at a holiday party you have some leway to use pops of color! In this look I used my pink pumps to amp up the look and add some fun color!

What are you going to wear for your holiday party?

Call me cat-woman

Alright, so maybe not a total skin tight cat woman look, but with a cape and pleather I felt it was a semi -accurate title. Capes are not only functional, but fashionable! I like the drama...pause for shock. I mean come on, who doesn't associate a cape with super heros? or models? I'm good with being mistaken for either!

I am currently obsessed with layering long necklaces, for an extra dramatic look. This long chain locket from fossil is super cute, but it was always a very simple look until I added the pewter chain necklace too.

I think that is my favorite part about fashion and fall, layering. You can take any item in your closet and transform it into so many different looks. It's so important to mix and match or you will become (more) crazy about purchasing new items. I try to remind myself that I have so many outfits still unexplored with all the items I currently own. Alright, alright, that does not keep me from the occasional and sometimes excessive shopping, but if def. helps!

What's your way of refreshing old items?
