Work Wear Wednesday: Peplum Safari

Ah...work wear wenesday. I love to come up with new work looks. It's a delicate balance between style and practicality. Today's look is all about the blouse. This super cute (super old) leopard print peplum blouse is one of my favs! Last year I wrote a post about this piece and I had put it in my 'clothes to sell' pile, but I attempt to wear each item at least once and see if I'll change my mind. Long story short, this one snuck out of the pile and back into my closet. Sneaky little thing! I love pairing this top with neutral pants and shoes and a nice pop of jewels on top! Simply perfect for this beautiful hump day!

Work Wear Wednesdays

At our last blogger event one of the girls mentioned how she's lucky that she can wear whatever she wants to work. She's definitely lucky and that was something I had for a while, but there's something to be said for the fashion of work wear. It's a bit harder to keep a stylish tone, but I wanted to start Work Wear Wednesdays to bring light to the fun stylish ways to dress for work.

Working it out

You know you've met a great guy, when his mother lets you know that C Wonder is closing and everything is 75% off! I had the unfortunate need to return something at that exact mall, so...I was already there...so...I just took a peek at the sale. Long story short, there may or may not be an item from C Wonder in every post this week! 

I found these amazing grey check pattern (that my poor camera quality refuses to display) work pants. I paired it with this adorable peplum top from Le Tote! Now that I have a business-y job, I decided to go ahead and invest in some good work clothes.

Little Dancer

With my ruffled top under a gold shimmery peplum tee I felt inspired by Degas! This pose is one of many he emphasized in his work. Granted, this pose was totally by accident, but I feel like it works! I love this little ruffled tank as a layering piece. it's a nice simple piece that adds, quite literally, some flare. A little PEPlum in my step!

I was very excited to snatch up this amazing necklace at A Do Hair Design! I got to snag this baby for a great price and I'm sure it will be paid off with compliments in no time. I'm not a huge jewelry person, but if I do get jewelry I tend to get statement pieces. Why not, right? I struggled to figure out a good outfit to pair with this stunning necklace, but thankfully I had this leopard peplum top lurking in the back of my closet. I've had this shirt for over a year and this is the first time I've had the guts to wear it! Every girl has items they bought with the best intentions, but self critical tendencies lean to your changing right before you actually wear it out. I have many and decided that I needed to start wearing them or sell them! Incentives work! What items in your closet need a little love??
