Mint-condition

Sorry for the late post! I had an unbelievable weekend celebrating the Bride to be! We went to a cubs game then dinner and bars in Chicago. Everything was just perfect! Today's look is a simple cute work look. I found this adorable mint overlay top at Loft, it has been a great piece for layering! I wore it recently with a pretty coral tank underneath, it was a great color contrast. Currently none of my work pants fit, so I opted for my new culottes! These babies are great for work and fun, the length is perfect and they fit perfectly!

Casually yours..

With these rising and falling temps throughout the day it's nice to have a bunch of easy light layering pieces. I love this casual look from the sneaks to the loose fitting sweater. I remember in college this time of year, I would leave in sweats all bundled then change around lunch for the warm temps then throw on layers for the night time! It's a crazy season, but I love it, because after all it's warm relief from the bitter Indiana winters and I get to wear more than one outfit a day! Then again, I'm kind of a weirdo like that.

Pinspired: Fur love

Today's Pinspired post is a simple chic look that's really set off by using a hoodie under a fur vest. This simple trick makes the look much more accessible for an every day look. This epic fur vest can sometimes feel a little "too much" for a casual dinner, but this look is perfect for just that! Topping it all off with a fluffy bun and there you have it, a fun, simple, casual, pinspired look.

Spring in my step

I'm a sucker for Spring in Indiana. I know we are very far away from it, but I didn't want all my cute spring attire to go to the wayside. This floral dress is such a cute pattern, it reminds me of watercolor flower paintings. I love layering and a lot of elements to winter wear, but I truly love spring fashion. That's why it's important to me to find ways to incorporate these pieces into all four seasons. I paired this dress with my tried and true collared blouse, a gorgeous mint coat from Old Navy and of course, tights and booties and there you have it, a spring outfit "winterized"!

Happy Valentines Day! xo

Well it's that infamous day! May all who have a special someone relish in candy and flowers, while single gals around the world band together for the aptly coined 'galentines day' indulging in romantic movies and endless glasses of wine! I like this "holiday" because if anything it's a nice opportunity to squeeze a date night in to an otherwise hectic schedule. Aaron and I decided to go all out last weekend to avoid the crazy restaurant situation. We lavished in a super delicious meal at Sullivans. I was in absolute heaven, with oysters, creamed spinach, and dry aged steak! Soo yummy. Anywho, I rocked this look for our date. It's pretty simple and since it wasn't actually Valentines day I didn't want to look too dressed up, so I threw on this pink slouchy cardigan! All in all, I had a wonderful pseudo Valentines day. Hope you all do too!

Let's hibernate

Yup, it's official. I'm calling it quits for the season. I've packed up months worth of delicious food and I'm set to go till Spring.
I'm sure you've gathered thus far that I am not a cold weather person. It must be that Florida born factor. Well, with that said, here's my fur vest. yet again. I love this piece to add style and warmth! I paired it with this season's biggest pattern craze, plaid! I'm obsessing over all of the amazing plaid blanket scaves, but due to my current budget status I'll have to stick with the items I already own. It's easy to replicate trends without breaking the bank!
This look is super simple and comfortable, but has an element of drama!

Stay warm out there!

Ombre draping

Happy Monday! Welcome to the perfect Monday look. It's drapy to allow for the possible weight gain from all the weekend foodie indulgences. Layering for the chilly winds. Messy french twist since I didn't wash my hair, because it is Monday after all! Yes, see being sloppy and unmotivated can still somehow translate into style. It's really what I strive for.

How do you make lazy look chic?
