Happy Valentines Day! xo

Well it's that infamous day! May all who have a special someone relish in candy and flowers, while single gals around the world band together for the aptly coined 'galentines day' indulging in romantic movies and endless glasses of wine! I like this "holiday" because if anything it's a nice opportunity to squeeze a date night in to an otherwise hectic schedule. Aaron and I decided to go all out last weekend to avoid the crazy restaurant situation. We lavished in a super delicious meal at Sullivans. I was in absolute heaven, with oysters, creamed spinach, and dry aged steak! Soo yummy. Anywho, I rocked this look for our date. It's pretty simple and since it wasn't actually Valentines day I didn't want to look too dressed up, so I threw on this pink slouchy cardigan! All in all, I had a wonderful pseudo Valentines day. Hope you all do too!

Polka dots and fur

Today's funky look is a hodgepodge of polka dots, knit, fur, and leather. I wanted to be warm and cozy, but still have some style! I pretty much just kept layering random things until I decided upon this look! As you all know, I'm obsessed with this fur vest and it has been my saving grace for all of winter, but I wanted to pair it with totally different looks to not completely bore you all! I love these polka dot harem pants, they are super fun and super comfy, which is pretty much the best of both worlds! Rounding out this look with a half top knot, just seemed right. Sometimes outfits just come together as your putting the items on as if it's second nature.

How do you style yourself? Planning? Spur the moment?

Simply IN love..

This super comfy chic look was my brunch going ootd a few weeks ago. Since you've seen this tee many times before on my blog, I'm sure you've gathered that I love it. United States of Indiana is a great company, because not only does it bring light to this amazing state, it also makes really high quality screen tees. I feel like finding state or region-centric items in high quality is kind of difficult, but not with United States of Indiana! I was tired, hungry, and cold thus I decided a simple tee, maxi skirt, chucks, and a cardi would do the trick! I got to comfortably enjoy some delicious brunch fare at my favorite brunch joint, Zest! Exciting Creations and seeing my beloved Colts win!

Lace and stripes

I'm loving this simple look today. I love this cardigan, even though it is currently missing a button, but when in doubt, belt it! I have a problem getting rid of clothes, hence wearing a broken sweater, but when you're resourceful you can still rock a buttonless cardigan!

Booties and skinnies are pretty much a match made in style heaven! I've heard there's a right and wrong wear to style them, but I like having my jeans rolled or down into the booties. It's all about what feels right to you.

How do you spruce up damaged clothing?

Buns and Ruffles

Today's look is perfect for this cold weather with an oversized patterned cardigan, warm leggings, and shearling filled boots! This cardigan has been through a lot! It's one of my go-to's and has been for quite some time. This year it even required a little love from my mom's Pfaff! Every now and then you come across a piece that really sticks with you, although you never know until you bring it home. I've owned many items I thought I would revere for a long time and have since forgotten. Yet, on the flipside I've bought things on a total whim and they've been my favorites ever since.

I paired this beaut with the most amazing little booties! I got these babies for free (yes, free) from being in the Purdue Fashion Show. The designer gave us a pair of shoes to go with her amazing designs. I love these booties so much, because they seem to stay perfectly in style. They are so cute that I decided to go ahead and throw on some ruffle socks, because why the hell not?! In the end this outfit was perfect to counteract my last day without a shampoo *hence the top knot* and really set the tone for a perfect winter day.

What's your soul-mate fashion piece?

Baby, it's cold outside...

If you are experiencing bouts of anger and moodswings. If you want to smack anyone who gushes over how beautiful the snow is. You might be suffering from Post Traumatic Snow Disorder (PTSD). I am not fully over last winter and here it is, early!

My favorite holiday is coming up...Thanksgiving! I love the food, family, and a holiday soley based on love and thankfulness. My family is pretty small, but very close knit, so we spend it together laughing, drinking, and eating ourselves into a coma!

In honor of the super cold temps and snow, I opted for a comfy cross sweater and my trusty rainboots!

Stay warm out there

Maxi Cardigan

Yet another romper has graced my closet! I found this at American Eagle for only $30! I love it with this maxi cardigan from Forever 21. The crochet makes it accessible in the rising temps. This was such a fun outfit and so comfy.

Where's your favorite romper this season? I'm obviously up for suggestions! Have a great weekend, it should be beautiful!
