River Island...decisions decisions!

I'm crushing on this cold shoulder top from River Island, so I decided to create a look for each style of the top. I thought it would help me decide which color to get, but alas, I'm more unsure than before! Each color top could be dressed up or down super easily and it looks so light and comfortable for these beautiful Spring days. What do you guys think?

Pinspired: Screen Sweatshirt

It' a snowy day here in Indy! To keep warm in this seemingly neverending winter, I wore my coziest sweatshirt. This sweatshirt still has that perfectly fuzzy new sweatshirt feel, it's something to be revered until it's been washed too many times. Anyone else know this feeling? The Pinspired look is so cute, I love that I can switch up the style of the sweatshirt, throw on some booties, and tights and still achieve this trendy look.  I am such a fan of the screen tee/sweatshirt, people have really started to glam up the screen tee and wear it for professional looks, going out, and generally fancy affairs. It's no longer the jeans and tee look, although that is still definitely a fun comfortable look! Thanks for stopping by on your Sunday, have fun out there you little snow bunnies!

#indybloggers

Tonight was yet another wonderful evening of wine, food, and great conversation! I had the pleasure of meeting up with some fabulous Indy bloggers at the Tastings wine bar at the Conrad in downtown Indy. I hadn't been there before, so I was intrigued to see what it was like. It's a beautiful modern little place to gather and sip delicious wine. They had a lot of fabulous wine to choose from, but alas I jumped on their half off house special! Cabernet paired with a goat cheese and fig flatbread is just simply too good to be true, or is it? I loved delving into the first world problems that is being a style blogger, such as, always needing to buy more clothes, finding friends and family to take photos, and what camera is best. All these among others are fun little woes we enjoy discussing together! I'm so glad to have a little group of gals to talk about blogging, fashion, and so much more!

Simple comfort

Here's a super simple look that I wore for Thanksgiving. I love this vest because it adds the perfect amount of warmth and style, plus pairing it with a hot pink sweater adds a great pop of color!

I had to wear my Hue jeggings, because after all I am eating a lot on Thanksgiving, so these are essentially my fat pants. Lastly a light Vera Bradley scarf too add a bit of pattern.

Hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving holiday!

This is goodbye...

...to fall! Sorry kids, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, but aparrently Fall has flown the coup. It's frosty out, snowing occassionally, and just plain freaking cold. So, we meet again, Winter. It seems you're still the sp"ICY" mistress I remember. I would say that this is the time to move, but even the south is shivering in their cowboy boots! What has this world come to? Come on Mother Nature, give us a break!

Well, that's all for my rant! For now..

Enjoy the outfit and the weather oh! and the weekend!

Happy Halloween!

Because sometimes dressing in costume isn't appropriate there's still a way to harness the fun of halloween in the workplace! I opted for the black and orange color scheme! It's a chilly one in Indy today and this thick Anthropologie sweater really does the trick. Simply pairing it with some black staples and a fall hat make it the perfect, yet subtle halloween outfit!

That being said, you will see a costume post soon!

On Wednesdays we wear pink...rainboots!

Inspired by the rainy day and Mean Girls I decided to bring the pink Hunters out! I love these boots, they are great to have on a rainy day and still stay stylish. Women really have a knack for combining style with utility! Rain boots aren't particularly the cutest, but it beats the hell out of a layer of water on your jeans or water stains on your suede boots!

This striped top was a sale pick from the rare and small sale stack at Nordstrom's! I love the baby doll style and the collar necklace really adds some drama.

What's your favorite way to jazz up your rain boots? Leave a comment or pic! I'd love to hear some ideas. Also, check out tomorrow's post for a completely different look with the same boots!
