Doily chic

You gotta love when an item in your closet reminds you of a doily, that must be fashion! This super cute long line cardigan is from Forever 21 and perfectly enough, it can be used as a table runner in a pinch! This entire outfit is made up of pieces I often want to wear, but find difficult to style. This cardigan is super cute, but can be difficult to pair. My tom's wedges are the same, partially because they make my feet look extra small and the color, although neutral, is not my typical shoe color. I think everyone has something in their closet they love, but don't wear because it's hard to be inspired!

Laid-back look

I love when fashion evolves. Especially when it evolves to make sweatpants fashionable! I paired these cute track pants with a screen tee and fun jean jacket. I like to have days of super comfy looks to break up the sometimes uncomfortable outfits. This look is perfect for a lazy Sunday, yet can still be worn out for lunch or shopping.

Working for those cocktails!

The beauty of a work appropriate bodycon dress is that you can easily wear it all day at work and be perfectly set for after work cocktails! This dress from Le Tote is so comfy, because of the worlds greatest invention...spandex. There is simply nothing better than a dress with the right amount of stretch. I paired this dress with a great Marc Jacobs jacket that my sister in law gave me. The subtle pinstripe goes perfectly with the navy dress. It's nice to find small detailed colors in an item and match that to an all over color piece. I wore these silver flats, because I'm just not a heels at work kind of gal, but it would be super easy to throw some heels in the car and switch them out for the evening. So, head on over to your favorite apres-work watering hole and enjoy that martini, because you earned it!

Clearing the rack...

In an attempt to clear the rack or rather clear my bank account, I traveled to Nordstrom Rack to be irresponsible and buy a plethora of new pieces for the new year. Unfortunately, I was sorely out of luck this trip, but I did find this plaid top, which I love. This baby was originally $38 and I got it for $5!! That's a steal! I love this style of plaid and I'm always a sucker for a long line top. I was unable to get a good picture of the back, but it is longer in the back and has a cute button detail. Hope your new year is off to a great start!

Happy New Year

Well, here it is...2015! I was so blessed to have a year filled with family, friends, and love. Although I am sad to say goodbye to such a great year, I'm equally as excited to embrace this new year! I have so much ahead of me and so much to be grateful for. This year will be all about finding myself. I will be 25 and intend to live it to the fullest. I want to try new things, learn as much as possible, take a class, try new kinds of fitness, continue to grow my blog, and find happiness in the small things. Look out 2015, I'm coming for ya!
